Manners & law

"Manners are of more importance than law....The law touches but here and there and now and then. Manners are what vex or soothe, corrupt or purify, exalt or debase, barbarism or refine us, by a constant, steady, uniform and insensible operation like that of the air we breathe in."- British Philosopher Edmund Burke

Jilin to Korea what Liaoning is to Japan

Dalian has become the largest destination in China for Japanese companies to outsource their business: call center, software engineer. As Korea become the next powerful economy, Jilin has the potential to increase its GDP rapidly. I read an article saying Jilin today has more BPO for Korean and Japanese clients. This is due to the language advantage: both Japanese and Korean. Actually I can imagine the only place on earth where Korean companies can outsource is Jilin. The drawback is the total economy of Korea is still small even tho per capita figure can be as high as Japan.

experimenting

excerpt from  What An Independent Texas Would Look Like But more importantly, because this little thought experiment shows how degraded the Federalist experiment has been in America, and how little wiggle room states have to experiment in terms of public policy. ... And why don’t we let states experiment much more broadly with policy to see what works and what doesn’t, let people vote both with ballots and feet, and bubble up the best ideas?

comments about Kate Hashimoto

Respect! for her self reliance life style. she doesn't harm anyone. she made herself rags to riches by her own, not like most people complains about the society or living on welfare system with other ppls tax dollars. She's helping save the environment and everyone on earth in her own way by not feeding the greedy and destructive consumer culture that pervades our society. Better than what most of us achieve. Respect to Kate for her choices and actions, as unconventional as they may be. She is braver than I am. I really hope people will wake up and enjoy ones freedom to live his or her own life. What is wrong with saving money. Some people veiw some things as extreme and i could label even people like you as extreme.america is spoiled and needs to wake up and im really sad that if the life alot of people are used to comes to an end, many will not make it but maybe its for the best..i will miss you brother. I think that although saing money in different ways can seem to ex...

rattly

Here's an example but I'm not sure if it's correct - Gary Johnson, "Ron Paul asked me for my endorsement in 2008, I rattly gave that endorsement." Source:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tLN5NBZ5KU , Gary Johnson's Speech At PAUL Fest

sarcasm

/ˈsɑːkæzəm/ A tongue of which the user speaks of something the complete opposite of what the user means. It often has the best comedic value. Ex. 1: "I'm okay. Don't mind the gaping wound and the sword protruding from my back. I'm fine. Feel like a million fucking bucks, dammit." Ex. 2: "Is your car stuck in the mud?" "No, no, of course not. I'm only practicing how to spray mud using my tires. Jackass."
